Beta Program

STAAR's Beta Program is designed to improve our products through continuous feedback from customers on software under development.

Beta software is pre-release software that is undergoing final development and testing prior to a production release. As such the software is often somewhat unstable and some functionality may not work properly or be disabled. On the other hand, Beta versions are usually available from one to several months prior to the production release, so they give you an opportunity to look at upcoming new capabilities. In addition, by exercising the software and reporting failures, or just by commenting on functionality and useability, you help improve the final product.

The only explicit requirements to become a member of the Beta Program are send us your complete contact information (name, title, affiliation, phone, fax, and e-mail) and to sign and return a standard license agreement. Please remember, however, that the purpose of the Beta Program is for getting early feedback on new software, and the use of Beta software to do production analysis is discouraged. We would like participants to exercise the software vigorously on problems of interest, but support for design activities will be strictly limited.
