In evaluating any software package it is important to acquire an understanding of how to perform the basic operations that comprise everyday use, and also to establish that it will both do your specific classes of problems and fit into your workflow environment. This information will naturally be developed during a free 30-day evaluation of any of our products, during which our technical staff will be happy to provide assistance in using the software and answer any question you might have either on the phone or via e-mail.
To assist you in making a more rapid determination of the suitability of a STAAR product for your particular application, we also offer an Assisted Evaluation Program. In this program, a member of the STAAR technical staff will visit your facility and provide hands-on training, with an emphasis on your particular needs and interests, and a focus on establishing whether the software is appropriate for your situation. This program spans 2 full days, and costs $3000 USD (fee will be higher for sites outside the continental U.S.). We will credit the full fee toward the purchase of a perpetual license, or 1/2 the fee toward a lease (credit may not apply or be reduced for promotional pricing).
